Shawn C. Golden currently serves as general counsel for a group of family owned businesses which span the health care, pharmaceutical, retail, hospitality, transportation, and oil and gas sectors. For nearly ten years prior, Mr. Golden was a law partner with Roy Barrera III at Golden & Barrera, PC, where he maintained a general litigation and appellate docket.  Along with Mr. Barrera, he successfully prosecuted and defended numerous, multi-million dollar lawsuits in commercial and personal injury cases.  Mr. Golden has also argued cases in the Texas intermediate courts of appeals, as well as before the Supreme Court of Texas and the Supreme Court of the United States.  He has been named a “Rising Star” in Texas and one of the “Best General Litigation Lawyers” in San Antonio, as published respectively in Texas Super Lawyers and Scene in San Antonio magazines.  Mr. Golden continues to work on various legal matters in an of counsel capacity with the Barrera Firm, thus maintaining an affiliation with his former law partner, Roy Barrera III. 

Mr. Golden graduated cum laude from Baylor University School of Law, where he was an editor of the Baylor Law Review, a member of the Order of the Barristers, a member of several mock trial and moot court teams, and champion of the Baylor University School of Law intra-scholastic moot court competition. Before law school, Mr. Golden graduated from Pepperdine University with a bachelor of arts degree in political science.  He resides in San Antonio, Texas, with his wife and three children.
